Stat Pack Vol 42

Welcome everybody to my 42nd WWE Stat Pack! I have been watching every WWF/WWE PPV from the very beginning, back from Wrestlemania 1 and reviewing each and every show. Every 5 or 10 PPVs I have put together and updated a stat pack which records all the major stats, facts and figures from the big shows. Within this Stat Pack you’ll see all the PPVs ranked as well as which wrestlers have fought the most matches, who has the most wins and losses, all matches rated and who has the best average match rating as well as figures on the tag teams, managers and much more. This Stat Pack covers from the original Wrestlemania through to Royal Rumble 2008, a grand total of 220 PPV’s!

If you’re wondering where in the wrestling world we are now, Randy Orton is the WWE Champion, whilst John Cena has just returned to win the 2008 Royal Rumble match. Also on Raw, Jeff Hardy is the Intercontinental Champion, Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes are the World Tag Team Champions and Beth Phoenix is having her first reign as Women’s Champion. On Smackdown, Edge is the World Heavyweight Champion, MVP is enjoying a lengthy reign as United States Champion, the WWE Tag Team Champions are John Morrison and The Miz and in ECW, Chavo Guerrero has recently won the ECW Championship. Now let’s get to the stats.

There are ten new PPV’s added to the top list and the pick up the bunch is the 2008 Royal Rumble event which goes right in at joint 4th. The lowest in Unforgiven 2007 which is all the way down at 178th. As yearly rankings go, 2007 finishes as the 9th best year up to now whilst 2008 starts so well that it’s at number one. That’s only after the first PPV so there’s a long way to go with that year yet.

This isn’t a great list to be on but there are eleven superstars on the list! Matt Hardy keeps his position at the top but his brother Jeff is no longer on the list after wrestling Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble. Everyone else moves up on the list and right at the bottom is Shelton Benjamin who is a new entry in joint 9th.

9. John Cena (26722)
10. Kane (26183)

This list is made up of a formula of matches wrestled, won, average match ratings, main events and win percentage. It creates a top 10 of the best of all time. This top ten is slightly different to that on the last stat pack. Triple H is a lot closer to The Undertaker at the top. Shawn Michaels moves up from 5th to 3rd which means Kurt Angle drops down a place. Edge rises from 7th to 5th, Steve Austin drops from 4th to 6th and The Rock slips one place to 7th. Chris Benoit stays in 8th but John Cena is a entry to the top 10 and goes in at 9th. Kane drops one place to tenth which means that Bret Hart drops out of the top ten. For this list I’ll always give you the rest of the top 20 which goes as follows from 11th: Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan/Mr America, Bradshaw, Randy Orton, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jeff Hardy, Billy Gunn & Christian. Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy are new entries to the top 20, Matt Hardy and Mick Foley make way.
