Stat Pack Vol 64

Welcome everybody to my 64th WWE Stat Pack! I have been watching every WWF/WWE PPV from the very beginning, back from Wrestlemania 1 and reviewing each and every show. Every 5 or 10 PPVs I have put together and updated a stat pack which records all the major stats, facts and figures from the big shows. This stat pack covers everything from the first Wrestlemania through to Royal Rumble 2019. You’ll find everything from PPV rankings to match stats, individual records, tag team statistics and even managerial records. It’s all in here so take a look and tweet me @BastionBlogger with what you think!

There are 5 new additions to this list since the last stat pack and I have bolded them. Survivor Series 2018 is the highest new entry and what a show that was, it ranks as the 2nd best WWE PPV of all time. How about that? Royal Rumble 2019 was not to be sniffed at either, that is joint 11th. Evolution is just inside the top 50 at joint 49th whilst TLC 2018 is joint 92nd. The lowest new entry and the worst PPV in over 28 years is Crown Jewel 2018 which ranks at 363rd our of 370 PPVs.

2018 comes to a close with some very good PPV’s (and one bad one). Overall 2018 ranks as the 9th best year in company history for PPV’s, finishing slightly above the previous year. I’m not going to rank 2019 as we’re only one show in but as it stands 2019 does sit top of the list.

Kane, Undertaker, Triple H, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and The Miz have all improved their tally since my last stat pack, with Shawn Michaels even coming out of retirement for a match. The Miz is the only man not to hit 100 PPV’s yet but he isn’t far off.

10. Chris Jericho (29)

This list stays as a top ten with exactly the same ten men as the last stat pack in exactly the same order! The likes of Triple H, Undertaker, Kane, Shawn Michaels and Brock Lesnar have added to their main event tally but not enough for them to move up the table just yet.

Highest Main Event Percentage (2+ matches)

2. AJ Styles 63.8% (36 matches)
3.Hulk Hogan 62.5% (40 matches)

Samoa Joe keeps his top spot, AJ moves up from 4th to 2nd, Hulk Hogan stays in 3rd, Brock Lesnar drops from 2nd to 4th and everybody from 5th to 8th keeps their spot. Shinsuke Nakamura was in 9th but he drops off the list which means Sycho Sid moves up a place and Paul Orndorff is a re-entry in 10th. I class any PPV match contested for the WWE Championship a main event so that’s why AJ Styles features so highly despite not necessarily closing the show.

Highest Main Event Percentage (10+ matches)

8= Jeff Hardy (20)
10= Edge (18)

This list says a lot about who WWE trust to go out, open a show and get the crowd amped up for the night. You’ll notice some big tag team wrestlers like Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boys, The Dudley Boys and The Miz & John Morrison in there as well as high flying, fast paced wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio. Kairi Sane is a new entry in third. Matt Morgan rises from 5th to 4th, joint with another new entry in Mustafa Ali. Chainsaw Charlie remain in 6th, Ember Moon drops from 4th to 7th, Mandy and Sonya drop from joint 2nd to joint 8th and K-Kwik drops from 8th to 10th. 7. Shawn Michaels (40270)
8. Chris Jericho (38761)
9. The Rock (32480)
10. Kurt Angle (32398)

This list is made up of a formula of matches wrestled, won, average match ratings, main events and win percentage. It creates a top 10 of the best of all time (based on pay per view matches). It’s the same ten men on this list as it has been on the last couple of stat packs but the order does change slightly with Kurt Angle actually dsropping below The Rock after recent performances. It’s a list of legends alright and it’ll be a tough list to crack.

For this list I like to give 11th to 20th. So in order they go: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, The Big Show, CM Punk, Chris Benoit, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, Roman Reigns & Jeff Hardy.
